I'm So Hot Thursday

So let’s see, Thursday, doing some stand up with a puppet tonight, should be fascinating.

Let’s just jump right to I’m So Hot Thursday shall we?

Weight: 145.5
Running Stats: No idea
Favorite Running Song This Week: The wind in my hair dude.

So yeah, I took John’s advice from last week and applied it. And I’m happy I did. For the past 3 runs I’ve gone outside and it went WAY better than my first run outside did. It was actually really nice! You feel like you’re getting somewhere or something.

I have to admit, I’m a tad embarrassed to run outside, I’m still so slow, and so ungainly, that I don’t want people to see me run. But I figure the only people that would make fun of me are people who aren’t running, and they can go bite themselves. So I put a cap on and look down at the ground a lot, but that also kinda helps.

But I do enjoy it, my muscles hurt in all different places, I had used up all my juice on my shuffle, so I was just running, and that was nice too, listening to my breath, or the breeze or whatever. Although, I really need to juice my shuffle. I’m looking forward to running with it.

I’m not cool enough to do the whole nike shoe running ipod thing, so I’m getting a regular pedometer and that way I can start seeing how far I’m running, but suffice it to say, it was nice just to run until I couldn’t anymore.

I think I might be sold, it was so hot outside yesterday and I easily could have run inside on the treadmill, but I didn’t want to, I wanted to go outside, it was hot and hard, but it felt great.

I’m probably running like…a quarter of a mile, but still…I might just get to that 5K yet.

are you running more than two blocks? cause two city blocks is a 1/4 mile. 8 blocks is a mile. i'm a total grid nerd, but hopefully that's encouraging to you. :)

Glad you got outside. I can't run indoors. Need moving air and need the voyeurism that comes with running outdoors.

I have the Nike Plus iPod, and love it. Worth the $30 IF you have a Nano. It won't work with a shuffle (I bought a refurb Nano).

Smuss, you rule. Yes, I am running more than that, I would guess I'm actually running maybe two miles. Which is great! It just doesn't feel like I run very fast or long...

James, I would love to do the whole Nike thing, it looks awesome, but I JUST got my shuffle, no way I can go purchase myself a nano, and the shoes, and hte whatever else I need. But it does look nifty. That's for sure.
