I'm So Hot Thursday

Another early blog post, Hixx is going back to the Historical Society this afternoon, so here we are.

Well, yup.

I’m 37 today. 37 definitely, DEFINITELY feels different than 36. Its way closer to 40, it just is. But luckily, I’m a Leo and Leo’s love their birthdays more than just about anything. So I’m pretty cool with 37.

I have a really sweet life. Everything I could have wished for. The truly, most stellar boyfriend, a great pup, excellent friends who will help me with movie scenes for Apes, a great job that lets me be creative and write books, a nice apartment…things are really good for me now and if this is what 37 is, bring on 38!

Apes tonight! Bring on our scene, I’m in love with it, and I think we’re going to be hilarious, so I feel good about that.

So, it’s still I’m Kinda Hot Thursday, whether it’s my birthday or not, so here we go…

Weight: 146.5
Running Stats: 4.6-4.7 for 40 minutes
Favorite Running Song This Week: Dirty Pop by N’Sync

Okay, so weight is staying the same, which is great.

I had a lazy week last week and only ran once, Tuesday. Getting back into it was hard. I swear, if you let more than three days go by, it’s really hard to get back on the horsemill. I didn’t run outside, and I ate way too many cheeseburgers. I blame Apes, I kept singing about them and therefore kept eating them! When I started running again this past Monday it was a struggle. A real struggle. Then when I ran last night it was even more of a struggle. I don’t know why, heat? Cheeseburgers? I dunno. But it was hard, and a run I’ve been doing for awhile suddenly felt like the most impossible thing in the world. I kept having to stop, drink water and FORCE myself to run for 10 more minutes.

But after my run last night I had to go to the costume store at Irving and California and so I got on me bike, and after the hard run, my bike felt like a flying carpet! I zipped there so fast it felt like I was flying, it was actually a really great ride, and took away my frustration from having such a hard run yesterday.

So I’m re-motivated now, feeling good even though I had a rough start, and am feeling back on track.

But man, stopping, even for just a week, makes it doubly hard to start back up. Makes you want to not stop anymore, just because you know its going to be harder later.

You know, at 37, everything starts decaying…hee.
