On My Way

You know those days when you’re really busy and you have a lot to do and you do do a lot but it seems like you’ve done nothing?

Having one of those, the whole day has gone by and I haven’t done one thing, but I’ve done a ton!

So, I’m sorry to say that I’m breaking up with John and going back to NY to be with my ex.

JUST KIDDING

Honestly, it hurt a little to write that.

The whole night was fine, it was great to see old friends, and reminisce about things and laugh about things and drink beer and play pool and be fun and silly. I had a really good time and also just know that everything is lovely and all on the right track.

I had a tour Saturday morning at nine, we got home from the bar around 3:00. So, needless to say I was just slightly hungover for my tour. I’m actually not sure how I got through it, but I feel as if I’ve been through a rite of passage now, and every tour from here on in will be CAKE! It was still just as fun though, not as many people as my first, but a great crowd, some nice tips, and a cool morning.

I spent the rest of Saturday on me bum, then went out for dinner Saturday night. Sunday I was the exact opposite of my Saturday self, getting up around 10:00 for a run, laundry, cleaned the house, rode my bike, practiced my song and wound up on the couch for the first time around 6, exhausted and happy and watched “the Untouchables” which John taped for me, never had seen it before. I really enjoyed it, great flick, so fun to see Chicago looking all olde tymey.

Today I’m cruising, the book project is coming together so smoothly I’m just so relieved.

My first Apes show on Thursday, which I’m really excited about, but if you happen to be following my dreams you’d think I was scared out of my mind.
