Great Expectations

Well well well. Who’s a happy camper on a Monday?

I AM I AM!

I have put myself out on a limb on two separate projects, and both have come back with quite happy results. Today, I am proud to say:

1. I passed my last tour test with flying colors. All the worry, the going home on Saturday night to practice, the anxiousness and the hard work, has paid off. My sponsor loved my tour, said she learned some great things and is passing me off to the next round with no worries. YAY! So? My next step, is to give an actual tour. This is what I’ve been waiting for, the “work” is over, now the fun begins. Wake up on a Saturday morning and know that I’m headed out to a boat to teach people about this city, well…yip. I’m not sure when my first tour is, and probably won’t tell people right away. But after I’ve given one or two, I will make sure to post here my dates, so that whoever would like to come check it out, can. YAY! I’m really quite pleased.

2. I got into Apes! I am officially a cast member of Impress These Apes. If you like, you may go to impresstheseapes.com to check out my, and others, audition tapes. The show starts August 2!

I can’t tell you all how truly happy I am. I worked my toot off for both of these things, and I really am a woman who is afraid of hard work. To have both of these things, both of these things I REALLY wanted, work out in the same week has really elevated my self confidence, my new found belief that hard work will get you what you want and knowing now, that I will and can work hard for the things that I truly want.

Now it’s on to really concentrating on the running and the bike riding. I have a month before I have to be filmed every week bringing the funny, I would prefer it if my funny was my humor, instead of my silly bulging belly.

What a relief. What a total effing relief. The Hixx is back y’all, stronger, faster….happier.
