Well, things are getting brighter and brighter in Hixx’s world. It’s nice.
Last night my sweetest made delicious thai beef rolls. He was so deft rolling them in that fragile rice paper, I was impressed he could do that with his big man hands. Rawr. But it was great because we could eat 100 million of them and never gain a pound. I had 3 of them last night, a bit of a brownie and woke up one pound lighter.
This is the trick isn’t it? Finding out what you like to eat that’s good for you and eating it. I could eat those thai beef rolls until the cows come home. Honestly, they were delicious. And we both felt great after eating them, not hungry, but not stuffed either.
Okay, I’m turning to my health/body conscious friends here…
Anyone deal with foot pain at all? Bunions…faciitis, any of it? I’m struggling with some seriously achy feet… and I want to know about PERSONAL accounts of anyone else that might have issues. I’ve read lots of stuff on “shopping” blogs, but you never know who to believe.
I think the running isn’t helping things, but I did feel the foot pain even before that, and I got myself some pretty new fancy shoes from Fleet Feet that I’m hoping help out a bit. But anyone have any hints/clues/remedies? (God I hate the word “bunion”) but it hurts. And I truly really don’t want foot surgery. Anyone?
It’s um…for a friend. Sigh.

Ohhhhh sister. We'll get a beer soon and I'll talk to you about foot problems cuz I got 'em in spades.
My advice would be don't let it get too bad. The quicker you get it looked at the less shit they will have to do to your feet.
Cool, you know what? You're right. I'm a stinkin' grown up. I just found a doctor, I'm calling tomorrow.
I don't want to be lame!
i have them, too. orthotics help, although i think i might need new ones. no insurance, though. i've had the faciitis, too. it's worse in the mornings, and basically there are some simple stretches that can help. i don't seem to have it anymore, and i can't remember what changed. not standing on my feet so much? unemployment? who knows.
i need help.
i dont have the funyons but i do have tendonitis in my left foot. its really sharp pain on the top of the foot whenever i point and it's one of the worst things ive ever felt in my life. i went to the doc but she told me there really isnt much to do aside from preventative measures: wear comfy shoes, frequent icing in of the foot, low stress exercise. that was 6 months ago and the pain is all but gone, which is good. if it kept going i would have torn a tendon and had to go through pesky surgery. boo!
Thanks you guys for the hints, seems the concesus (consesus?) is to just go to the damn foot doc. I'll let you all know how it goes!
Thanks everyone! At least its nice to know I'm not alone in all my foot pain.
