I’m feeling that Friday hyperness, it makes me crazy, like I’m going to bust out of my chair and start singing songs from Wicked and Rent because I’m just so happy that the weekend is here.
A few things before we get to Survivor Recap Friday:
Tonight I attend my brother’s graduate art show. He’s graduating from the Art Institute media something or other program and he is awesome. If you want to see something cool, check out his webpage http://www.andrewhicks.net/. Very cool.
Hang on re: my TV blog. I’m not ignoring it, in fact, just the opposite; there will be a nice long post on there next week. You know, just in case you were crying ‘cause there hasn’t been anything up there in awhile.
Just had a GREAT meeting about my extra project at work here, and I’m just really stoked.
Okay, enough ancillary B.S., let’s move this showboat along shall we?
Going into last night, many Survivor lovers were wondering if the drama of the past few weeks was going to keep going great like it has been. I will say that yes, it did.
We started out with everyone kind of relaxing on their laurels because everyone is sure that Alex is going home. Fair enough. But I thought Alex really had the right idea to just sit back, and let them self destruct enough to find a way in. I thought Alex was going to go a bit further in this game because he seems to have a really solid head on his shoulder.
So dumbass Boo wins the reward challenge. That whole thing with the meat was really weird wasn’t it? And how they had to use each other to get the big pieces of meat off? And it was weird too, right after Boo won and they were all looking at each other, the Survivors really looked so animalistic, meat on their faces, sweaty, coming down off of a fighting food high. Weird.
I thought Alex might have pushed the Boo talking too much thing a little hard, but that is what he had to do. I wonder what might have happened if Boo had not won immunity, would he have been the one? Certainly Alex would have had a better chance.
The thing that was cracking me up last night though, was Cassandra. She is too freaking funny. She doesn’t say anything! She has this sing song voice that just repeats whatever the person said back to you, it’s stupidly brilliant.
Earl: I think we should take off Alex before Boo
Cassandra: Oh yeah, you think we should?
Earl: Yeah, I think he’s a bigger threat
Cassandra: Oh yeah? You think he’s a bigger threat?
Earl: Yes I do
Cassandra: Oh yeah you do.
What she said to Yaoman last night was the most I've heard of her opinion on anything. I would actually start watching out for her, way to fly way under that radar Cassie.
Then during the immunity challenge I was literally up on the couch, standing and screaming while Alex tried to pull himself up on that pole! HE WAS SO CLOSE. I was yelling “NO!” “YES!” "OH MY GOD!" That was pretty exciting.
And thank god no one went for the Yaoman fix that Alex set up. Even though Alex may be right that Yaoman will forsake all alliances (I can’t imagine him effing up Earl though), I’m just glad that he didn’t get blindsided.
Looks like they’ll be after him next week, but they’re going to all be after each other next week, and I still think Yaoman has a huge advantage in the challenges.
Who’s it going to be? I honestly have no idea, another good ep of Survivor.
