Okay, so finally! GOING TO VEGAS ON SUNDAY. So, no blog posts from me next week until Thursday. Try not to miss me too much.

So this crazy meme is going around and I wanted to play, so Speedy helped me out. Here’s the explanation of it.

1. Hixx, what person has had the strongest influence on your life?
Well, that would definitely be my momma. She taught me a few key things. Funny is good, really good. Funny is above almost everything. She taught me that I don’t “need” a man (she managed to do this by marrying some really bad ones, or at least, one really bad one). She taught me that art, not money, is true beauty. And like all women, I find I’m like her in more ways than I am not, but the ways that I’m not like her are the ones she taught me not to be. Does that make sense? My life is much different than hers was at my age, hell she had three children by the time she was 36 (and I still wasn’t a glint in her eye), but I believe she wanted me to know that that was not the only way to be, that I could be 36 and not be married with children if I chose not to be, which I did. This is all very confusing writing.

2. Hixx, what's the episode of 24 when Jack kicked ass the most?
Oh my gosh…this is hard. I think when he had to cut off Chase’s hand. Remember that? Oh my lord. I mean I could easily say biting that guys jugular then letting the guys blood run all over his face, but I’m going with chopping off Chase’s hand. I think I might have screamed a bit.

3. Hixx, do you have a "road not traveled" that you ever wonder about?
Sure I do. BUT! My road less traveled is mostly responsibility issues. I have terrible credit, I really wish I had not racked that up. I sometimes wish I had never come home from Thailand after traveling for three months, lots of people just never came back. I think that the things I regret are the things I did do, not didn't do. Like move to Colorado with a boyfriend I really didn't like, that kind of thing. But generally, I have a REALLY nice life, with great friends, an awesome boyfriend, a cute dog, a great job…theres not much for me to regret.

4. Hixx, what's the last thing that made you really laugh?
The other night for ladies night, we went to a lesbian karaoke bar. After looking at all the “hep” songs people were choosing, my wonderful friend Sabrina decided to sing “Consider Yourself” from Oliver. I don’t think I’ve laughed that hard in awhile. I was tearing up, it was pretty funny. That’s a long song too, a really long song. Actually ladies night overall had me laughing pretty hard.

5. Hixx, what is a place you haven't visited, that you really want to see?
I would really like to go to India. I want to go to Costa Rica too, but that’s purely for vacation reasons. But India I want to see because I’m a member of the human race. I believe it to be the most beautiful and most ugly place in the world and that it spans the human condition. I want to have my brain and heart stretched, I think that would be the place to do it. Plus, I could scratch my Everest itch and also go to Nepal.
