Good Things

So Jack couldn’t stop the bomb huh? How horrifying to watch him fail. John and I sat with our mouths agape, staring at the screen, unable to believe that Jack couldn’t stop it. It’s a tad bit upsetting, it must be like what a young child feels after seeing their father fall from the pedestal. Poor Jack.

I have not much to say today, so will settle on plugging a few choice items, picked by me, Hixx, to be put into the Chicago Get-Up-On-This blog post for today. I'm going to try and post some links, but Blogger really blows with links and sometimes they don't connect, so bear with me, links are in bold:

1. Impress These Apes at the Playground Theater. It’s basically a Project Runway for comedians. 8 comedians must perform a different discipline each week. Last night we saw the improvisers try their hand at stand-up (which is quite difficult for an improviser, whole different muscle), the first week they had to write a song, and next week they have to choreograph a dance. It’s great fun, very silly and is one of those shows that this retired improviser wish she had been in, which is a compliment. GO!

2. The Spot. This is Frankie J’s new place and we headed over there on Saturday. Frankie has always made delicious food and I gotta say, the party atmosphere was in full swing on Saturday night. At Franks’ old place, he once had a white chocolate mousse and a chocolate mousse for dessert, I couldn’t decide. Frankie J made me a parfait of both and it was awesome. Go here for dinner or drinks, either way, I promise a good time.

3. Check out this new blog at Chicago Post Collective, I’ll be doing a weekly building a month column there, and that’s pretty neat. Plus, the other stuff is interesting toooooooooo!

4. Thai Classic, I realize this place isn’t new or anything, but you know what? We eat a lot of thai food, a lot of it, and I really think that so far this place is the best. The crab Rangoon is creamy and delicious and the peanut sauce is heaven in a little plastic cup. Do it.

Oh and this? This is just plain funny.
