Lost Weekend

Oh my.

I’m still all warm and cozy from our weekend. It was so nice and generally quiet. Friday night we went to My Pie, I hadn’t been eating much last week and John thought I might enjoy a warm fireplace, a salad bar and some pie. And I did.

Saturday was a full day with a Modern Skyscrapers tour, great tour, I had a really fun group and we were cold, but they seemed to enjoy it. Those are always the most fun. I didn’t want to give it, but once I start, I love it. I found out this past week that they’re starting the training for the river tours, I’m all signed up, and by this summer you can catch me giving tours on the boat! YAY!

Saturday afternoon we went to visit mom and a brother I have in town and Saturday night we went to have dinner at my boss’ house. Great dinner, yum, nice adult conversation and a fairly early night. Sunday we went and took a long walk, had a Whopper (I love them so much) and did a little shopping and wandering around. It was a great day, but a hard day for inanimate objects in Ravenswood.

I’m still all cozy from the weekend, I love that it’s carried over to Monday.

And tomorrow. Tomorrow is the big day. Twilight Princess, Zelda…two years of waiting, and it comes tomorrow. I haven’t waited for anything this long since I finally convinced John he would love me too.

Here’s a funny pic of Remo looking quite smug with a dead toy.

And our xmas pic for today.

terrible. wouldn't even get a second glance for a chance to be in the quarterfinals.

what the fuck are the light buntings? do they think they're in the national league playoffs?

then they have the red wreath of satan on their door. if you are going to have a wreath with lights that is singular in color, it nearly almost always better be white. i'd be hard pressed to find an exception.

then. the ball of fire that is on the front lawn. it's not plastic, so it's 1/100th better than that, but what the hell is going on there? it seems like it's a snowman and a reindeer and something, but holy fuck. it looks like the front of their house is on fire. and what is it illuminating? lovely white latticework. nice.

then. the colored lights. one strand on a random piece of garland. weak.

and the other item. is it a bush/shrub? or worse, is it a tree only HALFWAY STRUNG WITH LIGHTS? if you're going to take the time to do this, do it right, people! don't even bother with an outside shrubbery/tree if you can't go all the way. this makes you look cheesy, ridiculous, and/or lame.

next!

Oh my lord. This is excellent.

And you're right, there is no order to this one at all. They're all willy-nilly, as if Jesus' birth wasn't enough to take the time to do lights carefully.

Bah.
