It's not easy being green...

We decided on a quiet weekend, me and my man. My birthday is on Wednesday and on Thursday morning we head to Indianapolis for GenCon. So we decided to lay low, play some Cribbage (the 1st tourney, I think was 12-2, John up…2nd tourney we’re now at 4-2, John up..surprised?) and catch up on our Tivo.

Friday night we had dinner at My Pie, which although very casual, is really good. They have a yummy salad bar and good pizza. Yum.

Saturday I trekked far and wide to Evanston to go see Scoop. And it was terrible. Really, one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a long long time. I like Scarlett Johansson too, I think she’s incredibly sexy. Way sexier than Angelina. But a bumbling, young, silly reporter she is not. She was awful. Only Hugh Jackman (or Huge Assman as we call him in my family) was wonderful. He really is handsome.

Saturday night we planned to go out, but didn’t. Instead our friend Ross came over and took us for a ride down LSD in his new convertible. Not a bad way to finish off a night.

Sunday was Market Days (where I had to watch a relatively attractive young woman hit on my bf, till she turned odd and nervous and walked away, good thing too, don’t forget, I carry a can of whoopass for situations just like this). I don’t get why men who are older and attached get hit on all the time, and women who are older and attached get nothing. NOTHING! And whenever some guy hits on me (he’s usually 80, blind and drunk, but still) John is never there to see it. WHATEVER.

This isn't her, but a pretty lady waiting to go on for a fashion show...

Then a yummy dinner at Thai Classic and John pulling out his own can of Cribbage whoopass.

It’s gonna be a busy week, lots going on, dinner with friends tonight, eye doctor tomorrow, dinner on Weds and Thursday..GenCon.

Not a bad week at all.

Oh, and I saw this at the fair, I'm too distressed by it to even comment:

I loooooove My Pie. I'm on a crusade to convert lovers of any other pizza place in town.

It is Theta Day at Stef Carter's lake place on Saturday. Since you will be in Indy, perhaps you could head a little farther south and join us. I can send a map and directions when I get them if you email me back and let me know if you would like to come. kthugs4u@yahoo.com

Hope to see you.
