Does anyone really know what time it is?

DSC00458

Okay, Vegas. I was thinking about how I wanted to put in the pictures and such. I wondered how I was going to do it and tried to think back chronologically. But I got confused, because time means nothing in Vegas. I know all the things we did, I just have no idea what order they came in.

I found myself worrying about time alot, I do anyway. I kept wondering what time we would we get up or go to the pool, a nap..dinner...and kept realizing it didn't matter. We could do what we wanted at 4PM or 4AM. So, I'm just gonna go with the basic gist anyhoo and show some pictures.

We stayed at the Luxor. It's the best I think, I really do. Everything is weird in Vegas, but nothing looks like the Luxor. It's like a different planet.

I think we ate, I know I got four Aces on a video poker and started out my gambling pile, and we walked around some in the heat. Felt good.

The pool at the Luxor is rockin' too. I never brought my lil camera, but, it's neat. Lots of people drinking and laughing and making out and making noise and ...just...having fun. Vegas is so about decadence, you're supposed to do all the things you're never supposed to do. It's fun to watch people when they have that kind of freedom.

We did pretty well on the gambling, we didn't suck, just slots. We'd go up and down, but now that they have tickets, you could just play over and over and never put money on it.

We took long walks, we saw The Bellagio, and Dale Chihuly's ceiling which is awsomely awesome.

I love that. The Bellagio sure is pretty. Other than that we wandered around, making drinks just so we could carry them outside and eating buffets. You never know whats going to strike your fancy at the buffet.

The best was the last night, when we had grudgingly trudged to Circus Circus. But right before there is Slots-a-Fun, a tiny little one room dive place.

We went in. This was our kind of place. Glitz I like, Dive, I love.

We won roughly eighty dollars on the Don Ho nickel slots. He just kept strumming and strumming for us. The guy around the corner from us was winning six hundred dollars on nickel slots. The bartenders were hilarious, the beers were cheap and we were dyin'.

We made some friends, some guys who told us they sell crap and were out there for some convention. They played Don Ho for awhile too.

We stayed there for a good long time, just drinking and laughing and winning with the strangers around the corner.

Our big mistake was leaving just to check out Circus Circus, man, what a joke. Children everywhere. Everywhere. So bizarre, so wrong, so weird.

And that was it, I made 10$ in the airport on the way home, and here we are.

I'm happy to be home. I thought Remo was going to burst into flames when he saw us, so excited he was standing still, like the Awakenings people, moving so fast...they just stop. John gave him a bone and Remo didn't know what to do, he just stood in the middle of the floor, looking at us, looking at the bone. He couldn't comprehend either one, just too happy.

And the great thing about Vegas is, you're only loving it for a few days. Unlike Italy or something. You're ready to leave Vegas when its time to leave. Thats part of its beauty.

We sure did have a good time though. Through and through.

John warned me that there might be a UPS box when I got home, something he ordered. He said "It's not a birthday present, I just want to make sure it got there"

I said "I know, it's all over, it's back to normal"

John said "No it's not, it's not over, it's just between chapters".

I'll take it, that last chapter was a doozy.
