Poke Her in the Front

Huh. Feels like forever since that Thursday that I wrote about how excited I was for the weekend. If only I would keep my dang trap shut.

Thursday, the party. It was fun. My problem is mainly that I honestly have never been a fan of live music. I mean it, even as a teen I wanted to sit down and get a diet coke and turn it off when I wanted. Concerts made me tired and still do. I know I know, its lame but its true. And the Chicagoist party was awesome, it was so cool being there and being a part of it, and chatting with hilarious men and women, and once the music started I felt off and loud and confused and hot and I couldn’t chat with my new friends. But I walked out of there feeling very proud, settled and pleased with myself and them.

Friday was a great day, I got so much done, including a 3 hour nap. YUP! 3 HOURS! Awesome. Friday night started out fun and ended up not fun, due to me and my spaziness, let us just skip over the unfortunate ending of that and move to …

Saturday we went to bring Remo to meet my mom. It was successful I would say, even though she wanted to go to the movies more than meet me dog, but that’s cool. We had a fine time, then John and I took Remo to the big dog park in Libertyville and had more fun than I can imagine. This place is huge, with fields and trails, you can take your dog all around, off leash, for maybe a mile of trails. Our dog is fast yo, he may not be the most superior of all dogs, but that dog is fast. He’s also obnoxious, we’ve now noticed when he’s playing with other dogs, and they’re not playing back, he will literally poke them with his paw, a quick jab to the haunches to get them to play. Some dogs respond well, some…don’t, but it’s hilarious to watch. He was great too, never straying too far ahead of us, always looking back and finding us, he’s a dream. It was so neat, he was so happy, so tired, it makes me feel horrible for putting him back in a crate. He should get that every day, I’m a terrible dog mommy.

Sunday I had a tour, no one showed up. NO ONE, which is weird, we always have someone! So I sat on the wet grass at Blues Fest, I couldn’t go home cause John had boys over to play some kind of something game, then I wandered around until it was time for The DaVinci Code, which was stupid and fun, a lot like the book.

Then last night, boys still over, Hixx gets her laptop and watches a movie in bed, Door In The Floor, a lot like Ordinary People but not nearly as good, but it tried.

Now I’m back to work, and I gotta admit, kinda glad.
