It was an interesting weekend to be the Hixx.
Friday night, John and I ate Thai food and met our buds out for some drinks and some good times. It was a good night, lots of giggling and laughing (and no one got wasted! YAY!)
Saturday, we felt like spending money, and boy did we spend some money!
1. Digital camera for me. It’s lovely! See?
2. Some wi-fi something or other for my laptop so I can write at home, which will be great for not only Chicagoist, but my blog too. YAY!
3. John bought us TiVo, and as my friend Chip said “You will never watch TV the same way again”, and I believe him.
Saturday night we attempted to go out and have a good time, and we did, but we were so tired and so in the mood to sit on the couch, and the apparent partying of all gay people around us made us feel even more lame, so we went home and ate ice cream. This pic is outside the 7-11 on Halsted.
The highpoint of the weekend came yesterday, when John and I went to roll for our characters in our new D&D game.
Allow me to introduce myself:
My name, fellow countrymen, is Pip Brandywine. I am an unlawful, orphaned, talented Changeling Bard who can build up my fellow man while I rip apart armored rats with my song.
I am a flautist, a master of woodwinds and true friend of no one. So far I can detect magic, I have telekinesis of objects less than 5 pounds, I can detect true North and I can’t remember what my 4th spell was, something awesome though, don’t you forget it. I deserve all riches coming to me and am quite wily and sly; I shall be very hard to catch.
John is some kind of numchuck monk.
It was totally hilarious, totally fun, totally relaxing and the nicest group of people to play with.
Plus there were Doritos there, and that makes everything fun.
