Puppy

Something I had forgotten was brought back to me today.

Remember this?

This was “Puppy” by Jeff Koons, a puppy made out of flowers. I loved it. I loved it more than anything. I still love it and was so pleased when it was brought up and remembered this morning. I feel like “Puppy” was in Chicago, was he? Do I remember seeing him at the Daley Center? Or is that just wishful thinking? I know I saw “Puppy” in person, so it must have been old New York.

Either way, one of the greatest pieces of art ever, if you ask me.

Anyway, you never know but my whole life could change this weekend due to a puppy of our own. I’m not pushing it, if we find him this weekend, great. If not, we’ll find him for sure. We’re ready, I’m ready, I want this so badly, little face to love.

My mom calls cute, furry things “bottles” I don’t know why (maybe it’s Boddle, dunno), but she cuddles up to something and says “sweet cute little boddle”.

One day not too long ago we were watching the news or some such, and mom heard that a guy had been hit on the head with a bottle. She turned to me and my brother and asked why the guy had been hit on the head with a dog.

Honestly, I had thought the same thing too.

She also calls dogs and cats “face”, because she just skips parts I think (always has folks, this is not stroke induced). I always think she wants to say hi to “cute furry face” but just ends up saying “oh face”. Funny.

I got puppy on the brain alright alright.
