Why pay more?

TO: Payless Shoe Stores,

Dear Payless,

Thank you first of all, just for being you.

I have never been a “shoe” girl. I couldn’t care less. Shoes are things to protect your feet from snow, rain and broken glass. Shoes can be cute, I have no problem with cute shoes. I do however, have a problem with paying 150$ for cute shoes.

I do not wear high heels (this has been discussed in my blog before) because they hurt. And they make me fall down. So they therefore, do not look attractive on me as they may look on some women who have learned to walk on stilts.

I only have a few different colors of clothes and most of those colors fall somewhere in the black, brown and wine colored pieces of clothing. Especially in the winter. Oh, and cream, I have cream colored clothes as well. So to have anymore than two different colors of shoes, would be silly. So I mainly have black shoes, brown shoes and a pair of gym shoes for, well..the gym. Those can be any color really, I do not mind. In the summer, throw in my new pair of Teva’s and that should do it.

Not that I don’t have a full closet of shoes I will never wear, I do, but I’m learning to purge my shoes, as I’m learning to purge my need for sweet sweet nicotine.

So back to you Payless, thank you for selling decent shoes at very reasonable prices. I literally just bought two pairs of the same shoes in black and brown and they are cute! (Also, a quick shout out to where I work, for being on the very casual side of business casual, so I can wear cute casual shoes, instead of some sort of weird loafer).

They were also cheap. Very cheap.

They are comfortable, good looking and can slip on and off my feet, a definite plus. Your employees are usually quite helpful and friendly and your store quite easy to navigate when one is having a nic fit and just wants some plain black shoes.

So good for you Payless, you are my one stop shopping for shoes. And I am not ashamed to admit, I’m proud to be Payless girl.

Yours in spazinesss,

Hixx
