Okay, so I flew through my first week of my architecture class, got my reading and my homework done with very little fanfare. "oh it's easy" I said. "I knew with my reading and writing skills it wouldn't take very long".
HA!
I'm now behind and I"ve been doing the work.
WHY CANNOT I NOT FIND A HISTORY OF THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHICAGO ONLINE?
All I can find is "history" involved with the "art institute" I"m going to cry.
It's all awesome though, I'm not saying that. I love it. But my head is so filled with Jenney's, Holabird and Roches, Burnhams and Roots, Adlers and Sullivans, I have no idea who made what building when, how but I'm figuring out the why at least. It's just now there's so many buildings in my head, Manhattens, Montauks, Monadnocks, I just have no idea anymore who built each one and with caissons of piers or footings or floating platforms. ARGH
Well...I got the Monadnock down...that one's easy.
I've got to try and get these things organized in my head. And one way to do that is to do my homework which consists of building descriptions. BUT I CAN"T DO THE BUILDING DESCRIPTIONS IF I CAN"T FIND THE INFORMATION ONLINE.
Huh? Who said that?
In other news, Harold and Kumar blows..don't do it. Even if you think boys and stoners and farting is funny. Don't do it.
Go to roasts whenever possible
Get fleece pants. Trust me. It's like wearing a blanket around your legs and it's awesome in the cold.
Go to Hackneys whenever possible.
OH! And go see I Am My Own Wife at the Goodman. Especially if you've seen or done a one man show. You will humbled to see the beauty of transitions. Seriously.
If only I could do my homework about writing a description of The Bachelorette and Amazing Race. Then I'd already be done.

Oh happy day in Amazing Race. Jonathan, Victoria and their screeching are no more.
